Sad Damn Day - Infowars RIP 🪦

And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Daniel 2 : 21

Amen. Men may scheme, presidents may rise and fall, and nations may shift—but God remains sovereign through it all.

Our part is to seek wisdom, keep faith, and stand rightly when the times change.

That means a lot, WV460HUNTER. I was trying to keep the center where it belongs—above the noise, the personalities, and the changing times.

ACTUALLY FDR was absolutely chomping at the bit to get into the European land war. He even ran a secret naval war in the Atlantic for well over a year, with American destroyers running convoy protection for English supplies across the northern Atlantic. One was torpeoded, with the loss of some 270 or so American sailors lives. He was sure THAT would galvanize the nation to join, but no cigar. America wanted no part of the European mess. So he turned to baiting the Japanese by cutting off (embargoing) their oil, sure that would get him what he wanted. it did - it gave him Pearl Harbor, with all the attendant drama But it was wholly expected.

But those were different times and different risks. That the socialist/communist threat would be an existential one was not clear then. Even though Germany and Russia were in collusion. It was merely ā€œa falling out among thievesā€ that gave us the conditions where victory was possible. AND WWII was essentially won with the Battle of Kursk, on the Russian front; all the following was merely ā€œmopping upā€. Germany had no chance of winning. Had anyone less crazy than Hitler been in control of the nation, Germany would have sued for peace much earlier.

I think from my studies on it what kind rheir fanny was when they decided to invaxe Russia and the German Soldiers were not used to the cold weather in Russia and ir was very snowy and cold and alot of them were starving cold and dying from ths cold frostbite etc.. the Cold kicked their butts as much as anything.

The cold and snow hurt the Germans badly, but they were only part of the defeat. Barbarossa was planned as a short campaign, so the German army was not properly equipped for a prolonged Russian winter, and fuel, lubricants, clothing, and medical supplies became serious problems.

The bigger failure was strategic: German units outran their supply lines, faced fierce Soviet resistance, and lost time and strength trying to capture Moscow and other objectives. The autumn mud slowed everything before the deep freeze arrived, and then the Soviet counteroffensive hit an exhausted army.

The weather did not defeat Germany by itself, but it magnified every weakness in the invasion plan.
