Wasn’t the question for fans of Elmer’s?
Dang it!
We got trapped in the details again
We wouldn’t be Americans without opposing views would we?
Now that is funny!
without opposition where is the challenge. If not fatally flawed a alternate viewpoint can sometimes better another opinion
Opposition?
Oh, like Elmer and Jack or “little Phil Sharp”? I
got it.
And “Little Phil Sharp” was a quote from Elmer.
I just went to the colt forum and it is stated by them that the term “long colt” was started in the 1880’s to differentiate the differences in all the various.45 caliber cartridges.
That’s 19 years before Elmer was even born let alone started writing.
Hmmm?
I have read that elsewhere also.that is what I was eluding too.
uhg-OOH…You done started a forum feud
You guys are distracting me from my work! Lmao!
Very sorry I was out shooting my long colt.
What length of barrel on that hog leg ? Honestly @BryanAustin is entitled to his view as he sees it . It doesn’t hurt anything to have ones own views We are all brothers in arms the opposition is out there
So lets not get to feuding thanks fellas
I agree but it was stated that Elmer was the one responsible for the term “long colt” when after doing a very simple search online and in my very old literature it was determined to be very incorrect.
Yes, I remember coming across the very thing probably 20 yrs. Ago. It has been talked about many times on other forums. @ramprage40 I applaud you for getting down to brass tacks and searching for the facts. Facts are Facts . I was probably guilty of using that terminology as a youngin’ also. Time and research has cleared up that for me as well.
I want an XXL Colt.
Now your talking my language . 445super mag, 460,450 marlin,
