Politics and reality rarely inhabit the same space. Elon did his job efficiently and quickly. And we all know tackling entitlements is the elephant no one in politics wants to address beyond lip service. It’s all blah blah blah, elect me, then, oh can’t touch that, I won’t be re-elected.
Our term of elections need to be reformed, without re-election distractions, both congress and the presidency. If elected you have a finite time, 1 8 year term as pres, 2 terms for congress to make a mark. Then maybe we might see a more efficient government.

My darling had an interesting point. Now, so far Elon has taken a lot of shit without blowing up, and then he sais all this stuff, losing his cool. Is he really ? What if he and trump are really cooperating, a push me pull kind of game. We know the media and the dems don’t understand poker and the bluff, so if the spat distracts them and Elon makes his point while trump gets a bill passed with changes in the senate, we win. Just a thought.

I did hear a great point from a caller on the American Journal today which is if Elon were hell bent on AI he’d probably not be crying about this bill but celebrating it instead.
We, as real citizens who have to prove our worth daily, tire of political games that the mediocre politicians have to and love to play to keep a job. That said, the game that Trump and Elon are playing, Good Cop, Bad Cop uses the politicians weaknesses against them, they have no choice but be reactionary tools. Real work is accomplished while the diversion consumes the attention of those who would impede it for short term goals.

Trump is winning at the supreme court which is what really counts. Also, where is Bernie, or AOC, or Pelosi or Schumer. Not hearing a peep from the squad either. Could it be the old guard are letting the Cory Bookers etc. be the sacrificial lambs on the alter of foolishness. And, the trade deficit has been halved, mostly because of less imports.
You mean in the script or real life? I highly doubt the same concerns on my mind have crossed theirs any time in the last several decades. Besides the problems we have can all be traced back to someone’s idea of what government should do for them… so the sooner the government does nothing the sooner we can fix the problems, they just have to get out of the way. For some reason Trump thinks he needs palintier to keep track and analyze everyone’s data, I think he is going to try and “fix” us instead of the problem… we are their “problem”.
