To be fair, we all complained about that as kids. That being said, they're not special. We all had go through it and eventually go into the real world where we do NOT get three months of vacation anymore. Stop being such a pussy.

@Dan_Ramos As a parent and grandparent, Ive watched the school schedule creep into both sides of summer, but theyve added fall, winter, and the usual spring breaks into the schedule so total school days are about the same. Not that government re=education centers are providing more or better edjumicashun than previously. I think its more to balance out spring break and such with the tourism industry.
@Dan_Ramos school sucks and kids will always be restless and bored. This isn't a cure in any way. The kids who don't go to bed on time now will go to bed later if this changes
@Meachamus_Prime@Dan_Ramos but you see my point right? If you get up later you'll go to bed later. I worked full time at my old man's pizza joint through high school. I wouldn't have had better sleep habits if I could. I'd just spend more nights at the pool hall
As I understand it, there are real body clock issues in teenagers as well as needing 7-10 hours sleep due to hormonal changes and brain development. In high school my homework schedule had me literally doing homework from 330PM until midnight. The math on this one isn't difficult.
@Dan_Ramos my 16 year old niece is refusing to go to school, the social worker at the private school made a plan with her that she only had to go 3 days a week. I'm not sure if that means she has other work to do at home as well, but I don't see how this can be a good thing. Life outside of school doesn't work that that
