The official Good Morning, Good Night and just plain BS'n thread

Yeah ,about every 10 yrs we have a lot of snow and usually a big nor-easter. But predominantly we have 2 ir 3" here and there for a few months and even a couple 4-5" snows and then its time to jump back on the Bike again. I aint no stranger to this snow . Lived through 3 huge snows in excess of 2’ in my lower step lands to the mountains . And the mountains here can in a snowy year see many feet of snow. And the ski resorts love it. We have ,Flat top,Winterplace,Snowshoe, timberline and Canaan all of which are great resorts to ski at.
In 1993 I went to go hunting at a Buddies house and got stuck there for a week after 32" of snow fell and -52°F windchills … that was back before internet etc. I was in college no cell phone, no internet and my buddies Cabin had no TV either.I had left from my Dorm room straight to his Cabin

Funny thing was I possibly could have cared less about it all. As I was single. Ahhhh those were the days

I have been here almost 10 years. I dont remember this much snow at one time before.
3-6" is more normal and usually only once or twice a winter.

Yeah ,the more moisture they said coupled with this cold wind produced this mess.
Unfortunately for @shooterrex they got more ice.

I had ro make a short run to town and on the way there I see this woman with a snow shovel talking to this woman at an intersection. I just went on by on the way back I see the car is still there…lol I stop nearly same time 3 other guus stop and here what had happened was she had come to the intersection and I guess with perfect matching speed had high centered her car on the snow that the state road had plowed off the main county route …lol all 4 wheels where high centered… it took us a little heaving but we got it . Was a grand am (I think  if it isnt an old car I aint very good at distinguishing) all I know is it was all wheel drive and white :joy::joy:

Well the State Road brought the Road Grader and Plow truck down the road , finally can see pavement. Had to dig out the daughters car thanks to the state road I not inly had to shovel 12" of snow from the cars backside but had to shovel enormous pile of hard snow from the road edge… i can tell ya it is possible to be soaking wet with sweat in 19°F … Hadn’t shoveled that much snow in a few years. Good exercise :muscle:.

Honestly , I thought the seattle area was used to more snow or is that just in ths mountains? How low in elevation is Seattle ? I know y’all have rain all the time there. I knew a Lady originally from WV who lived out there for 7 yrs. Said it rained nearly everyday for 30 min. I always took her word for it ,but she could spin a good yarn too.

Drove into town to the store yesterday. Plowed snow at the end of the drive was a little high but 4wd on the jeep did the trick. Snowed a little more yesterday but not much.

Yeah itis actually still snowing here very light fluffy flurries and salt state put on the road seems to be doing the trick… they cancelled school 3 days in a row saying that secondary roads are nothood enough. Was talking to my Mom yesterday and she told me that the entire storms worth of snow was still on her road as of yesterday . State road had not plowed a thing .

@shooterrex wished I had a plow , I dont even have a snow shovel. Just an old flat blade shovel . I used to have several snow shovels but the darn things don’t hold up. They always break so I just went with a flat shovel.

I got tree cutters cutting down five trees on empty lot I bought next to my house. I plan on building a garage/shop on lot as weather allows. I am going to have slab poured once I figure out what size metal building I want, looking at 24’ x 30, 24’x 36’ size, I know whatever I do I will wish I went bigger, but funds won’t permit much more so it will have to do. Does anyone here have any experience with any of the steel buildings ? Any of the companies who bring them in and build on site ? I see a lot of good and bad online…
