So private sales in WA still legally have to go through an FFL, who has to do state as well as federal forms. State Patrol does the check. (a few family exceptions) Then there is a 10 WORKING day wait where the FFL holds the gun in “Gun Jail”, even if proceed comes back the same day. The law also stated they have to release it in 10 days if no response from State Patrol but they ignored that rule last time the court’s computers crashed about a month ago.

I live in Oregon, sometimes your wait is short, sometimes long. Depends on your number.used to be if you had a concealed to the top of the line you went , but that’s no longer a gauranty

Until the state took it over, if you had a CPL you were out the door. Long guns were almost instant with or without. Then they classified all semi auto long guns with detachable magazines as Semi Auto Assault Rifle, banned the sale of those.
Possession is OK for now, but transfer/ import/ purchase is banned, parts for them are iffy. about half of the online vendors of parts will not ship here rather then try to figure out what’s legal and what’s not. Like takedown pins, springs, castle nuts, FCG’s, UPK/LPK, barrels, BCGs, etc. Funny thing though, found castle nuts and end plates on Amazon. That ain’t gonna last.

In fact, your faith in Christmas may be restored. I’d like to suggest an " entertainment or movie " category on our site. I know I’m not the only one who watches way to much TV, or has favorite movies, and they can also involve guns. I’ve got a list. As Maximus Decimus Maridius put it; " Are you entertained, Are you not entertained ".
