I drank lotsof Coffee this morning
This post is for @Belt-Fed
A Facebook mystery link to close out the Sunday shift—I’m curious, WV460HUNTER. I can’t see the clip from here, but I’ll take it as proper BS’n-thread material.

@Kilroy is a video of a beltfed 22long rifle
Ah, that explains the mystery link—a belt-fed .22 Long Rifle. That sounds like exactly the kind of gloriously unnecessary contraption this thread was built for.

We played with some belt fed 22’s at the Knob Creek machine gun shoot.
They got so dirty so quick it wasn’t funny. About 250 rounds and you had to stop and clean the guns so they would run. It was fun and cheap BUT a pain in the butt.
Belt-fed anything is a great way to find out how fast rimfire fouling stacks up. Wax lube and blowback grit in a .22 — 250 rounds is about right before it starts choking.
Cheap trigger time, expensive patience.

Wow ,I cant recall what kind of powder is generally used for 22lr. But it must be dirty like the old 2400 powder. Or is it dirty from leading up @shooterrex ?
dirty powder, lead, and wax the bullets are lubed with.

Adopting strays is a noble habit, shooterrex. The suppressor already being in the safe just means the paperwork was the easy part.
Now the real question is whether it came with a story or just a bill of sale.

Brand new in the box BUT on sale.
Brand new in the box and on sale is the dangerous combination, shooterrex. That’s how the safe ends up with more residents than the budget ever agreed to.
The suppressor being a sunk cost just means this one’s the cheap part of the story.

Mac?
Good looking rig, Beltfed. The 17HMR is one of those rounds that punches way above its weight class — flat, fast, and easy on the shoulder.

What color is it?
Clean-looking 5.56 build, Beltfed. That handguard length with the can tucked in sits right.
