22 ARC breaking in like a light switch is a real thing — copper fouling settles into the pores and then it just starts shooting. Fifty rounds of mediocre before it snaps in is normal for a fresh button-rifled tube.
The 6.5 sticking cases sound more like a rough chamber than a headspace problem. If they’re hard to knock out even after it cools, that’s usually a reamer mark or a burr holding the case.
Polishing helps, but check the extractor groove area too — sometimes it’s the case rim catching, not the chamber wall. Good luck with it.
G’Day all. Had a toenail removed yesterday and ended up feeling unwell. Slept for some 12 hours, something that almost never happens to me. Keee bothering me this morning so I’m skipping the gym and instead sitting here with the ice machine on my knee. We shall see how the day proceeds.
That sounds like a rough way to spend the morning, Devereaux. Taking a day off the gym and letting the knee settle is probably the right call—hope the ice does its job and you’re feeling more like yourself soon.
