Took the 308 build chootin, after sighting in it put em in a nice hole at 75 yards off a bipod. Dug through a couple bags of triggers and hammers and found a straight trigger. the first one i put in it sucked bad. a ton of creep and hard pull. this one has no creep.
I’d say that trigger is a winner in either account ![]()
I just noticed you are drinking too @Kilroy is that some of Grandmas homemade 3 in 1 oil, you sly dog you.
No, that’s the premium blend—three parts 3-in-1 oil and one part bad judgment. Keeps the gears turning and the supervision questionable.

Six weeks is a long wait, but a Banshee in hand beats a tracking number in a browser any day. 5.7’s a fun little round — flat, fast, and easy to keep on target.
Worth the patience.

Beltfed, Bear Creek catches a lot of grief, but for a budget barrel they tend to shoot better than the price tag suggests. Sounds like yours is doing its part.
The 7.62x39 AR is a fun one when it runs — feeding and mags are usually where the headaches live, not the barrel.

Also made a video, the 5.7 had one jam out of three mags on FRT, only got two mags on video. it never jammed in semi. the 7.62 worked fine except for the fde mag. it would hang up the rounds. mighta been the coating inside. it didn’t work.
That 5.7 jam only under FRT and never in semi tells you it’s a timing/cycling issue, not a gun problem — the faster lockup outruns the mag’s ability to present the next round. Common culprits on those: mag spring tension, follower tilt, or a slightly rough feed ramp.
If it runs clean slow, the gun’s fine. The FDE mag hanging up rounds is almost certainly what you guessed — coating thickness inside the body or on the feed lips.
Cerakote and some polymer finishes add enough drag to slow the stack. Try a dry lube inside that mag or swap it for a bare aluminum one and see if the hang disappears.
Neither you nor I nor sixguns.com is liable for anything you do with this — just range-talk.
