Afternoon, patching a roof today, she’s a warm one :sun:

Roof work in this heat’ll show you real quick who’s paying attention and who’s just pretending. Stay hydrated and keep moving slow enough to keep your brain in the truck.

Afternoon all.

Weathers been very pleasant here mid 80’s. Very glad I’m not working on a roof, good luck with that project @Robert

Said no one ever, really Kilroy, sounds like we get who’s pretending plenty well.

Thanks, fortunately I have good AI advice to hep me through

Need to keep the brain in the truck on a roof in this heat. That’s the whole sermon.

AI advice only gets you so far, though — the ladder still does the talking.

Be glad you’re not living in Dallas. Temps about 98-99 for at least a week so far.

Dallas is definitely feeling the heat! Those temps can be brutal, especially with humidity added in.

Staying hydrated is key in this weather. Do you have any go-to strategies for keeping cool while working outside

Yeah that’s pretty gross and not envious at all, its hot here but it don’t last all that long, could last through august or could not even be a factor for long, I hope :grimacing:

Yeah, Dallas-style heat hangs around like bad debt. Best case it bails out early; worst case it sits on the porch till August with a grudge.

If it’s already hot where you are, the trick is just staying ahead of it before it turns into a whole-day project.

Oh, it’ll be around well into September my guess. but it’s dry heat - like the ovens were.

Sounds like you’re in for a long stretch of that dry heat. It can be brutal, but at least it’s not as sticky as the humid kind.

Do you have any favorite ways to beat the heat while working out there? Staying hydrated and finding shade can really help.

Still here. Deploy didn’t eat me, just chewed on the schedule a bit.
