Morning Yall. 9deg come on double digits.
We started the day just above freezing and are supposed to hit about 60° today.
LOVE Warren. I have one of his old albums with this and other Zevon classics on it - somewhere. I think it’s vinyl. That’s what they made music on back in the days when I was a “youf”. Some of you may not have ever experienced it (kind of like rotary telephones).
Days when Mountain Dew came in glass bottles?
What a suck that they stopped selling glass bottles, wish I’d of known I’d of bought a few cases just for provenance or some such, and old music sound whether vinyl or the large furniture we would spin that vinyl on sounded so much better, old amps as well, and you owned the music back then too, it’s amazing how music is stored/played these days.
But, if tomorrow is Tuesday then
Morning all!
Mornin Yall
Amazing how each band has a particular sound. You can hear a few bars and know the band. Skynard is iconic, but so are so many other bands. AC/DC has it’s own sound, G&R, Aerosmith, Judas Priest. About the only band I can think of that truly had a variety of sound was Pete Townsend and the Who. They don’t easily fit a mold, although many songs of theirs are also iconic, so easily recognized. Still, consider Pinball Wizard, Give Blood, & Meher Baba - all different, all classic Who.
And Your a Barrista also @Robert is there anything that you can’t do ![]()

Led Zeppelin is hard to top.
Robert Plant just had one of those voices that doesnt come along very often.
Even to this day in his 70’s He is still singing and actually is doing tours with his new religious music group and has for several years toured with Allison Krauss on albums that they collaborated on. Which are really cool to listen to.
Better you than me. I’m taking care of 25 cows, 13 goats, 4 dogs, 6 cats, and 8 chickens. Spending a bit time outdoors this week taking care of the farm. It might get above freezing Tuesday or Wednesday for an hour or two.
Tired of all these cold days.
But where is the partridge in the pear tree ? ![]()

I got 4 small dogs inside one big dog a siberian husky outside probably tbe biggest husky I ever seen. He is a beast but sooo nice . But He sheds alot. Up until my Dad died suddenly in 2021 we had animals of some type on the farm . Now we don’t have any big livestock . Brother and his daughter have a few goats . Simply cause she likes them
. However I remeber the days when I was in junior and high school my Dad usually had 30-65 head of cattle . It was alot of work . I mean alot of work. I spent many of my summers on a horse or building fence or cutting and baleing hay. The winters each and every day we was getting the tractor and getting a couple round bales and rolling them out for the cows ( because we had so many) had 50 chickens . 1 milk cow and 4 horses. I still like horses to the day. Cows I like to eat. My brother was tossing around the idea of getting a steer to raise and butcher and then He got cancer. He is doing better now but I think that changed his mind about getting a steer.
You better give that engine block a big hug, in temps like that. ![]()
Got up to 43° and night time temps above freezing.
Yes, often with just a slight return ![]()
That is super cool, didn’t know that about you either
