You don’t know who you’re defending.

How old is that description of Israel, how does it differ from the State of Israel you know today, a State created by the British Crown, UN, former League of Nations, read the Balfour Declaration?

China and Russia.

No, because Iran doesn’t border the US the way Gaza borders Israel. As such the US hasn’t experienced Iranian rocket attacks on its cities, kidnappings over the border, and attack tunnels from Iran to the US. Nor has the US experienced a combination murder-kidnapping event like 10/7, or intifadas. Iran has not broken multiple ceasefires with the US. Nor does Iran claim Washington, D.C. as their capital, or claim that the boundaries of Iran go from “ocean to ocean.”

Think of what you’re trying to say, that Israel can not handle a tiny direct neighbor, but can strike Iran, a country that it does not share a border with?

Israel boasts a great military, gets weapons from the US, but again, can not win Gaza without completely flattening it?

Its not a war in Gaza, its genocide, Israel just took out Assad,

and now attacks Iran due to WMD rhetoric and radical threats, tough to prove now that the nuclear plant is destroyed, what was going on, seems it would have been more prudent to prove this first, convenient.

No, not buying more Israel BS, the more I see the more I see

All the anti-semitc laws make sense now, Israel is being used to proxy WWIII and speaking out against it can’t be allowed

It’s a heritage, seemingly inescapable, repeated thorough history and continues today.

Can I see how far the fruit fell from the tree?

The history rivals that of Bill Gates and his father, truths are coming out fast but no one can make you study or learn

This all may be coming to light now for a reason, Jews may not know their own leader, may not know their own history, and it’s shocking too, this, Gaza in particular, is not new

Benzion Netanyahu, the prime minister’s father, was a proponent of Ze’ev Jabotinsky – a proponent of what is known as Revisionist Zionism – who believed a Jewish state should extend to both sides of the Jordan River. In effect, that means an Israel that includes the country’s current territory, the West Bank, Gaza and part or all of Jordan.

You’re told Israel is righteous, not true, Tel Aviv is as gay as San Francisco, the videos of gays hiding in their bomb shelters coming out (no pun intended) the last couple days are disgusting, they’re way more than comfortable, it’s old testament Sodom and Gomorrah and no new thing under the sun.

Yes, I can see the world soon coming down on Israel, way too much propaganda, to many lies, too much bloodshed.

Don’t believe it, that won’t last, you will as it’s coming out and I feel sorry for the Jews who will suffer all this anger and hate for no fault of their own, except as you put it, many won’t feel sorry for them as they’ll have

It is cute :hugs:

I was showing that Iran’s threat to America, while real, is not as immediate and existential as Hamas’s threat to Israel.

Flattening Gaza would actually not be sufficient to eliminate Hamas, because of the tunnels. Israel’s forces would have to go below ground level to reach the enemy. It’s a similar strategic problem to what the US faced in the Vietnam and Korean wars, fighting in the jungles with poor visibility while being televised and facing protests at home. That is why Vietnam remains communist, and there is still a communist North Korea.

Israel’s military was/is likewise also being held back by international criticism and their own domestic left wing (although after 10/7 Israel shifted to the right). If Israel had overcome those concerns and destroyed Hamas decades ago like they should have, the terrorists would not be as fortified. But instead Israel delayed and allowed the terrorists to build up their fighting experience.

In comparison, Iran has not built such an extensive subterranean network. While they have some nuclear research and storage facilities underground (as admitted by their scientist, linked previously), the same is not true for the majority of their military. They also did not go to the effort of mixing military and humanitarian sites the way Hamas did. That is how Israel was able to surprise Iran and eliminate their military leaders, SAM batteries, and other military/government targets in surgical strikes.

That said, I am concerned that giving Iran so many years to build their military has allowed them to entrench as well. Like America’s recent war in Iraq, Israel may not succeed in pacifying Iran either. However, between a nuclear Iran now and a conventional war with hope to delay Iran’s nukes, Israel had little choice.

America on the other hand does not perceive Iran as an immediate nuclear threat like Israel does. Iran remains only an eventual threat to America, because Iran has limited abilities to deliver a bomb to American targets. On the other hand, from Iran’s current missile and drone attacks, it is evident that they have abundant ability to reach Israel’s population centers.

Israel acted in self-defense, and it is in America’s interest that Israel stops Iran early, before they build ICBMs that can affect the US.

I might not be the most schooled person here, likely the least, but I remember well enough that when you strike first it’s not you who

but the other party who struck you back, learned that about the same time as sticks and stones and that if you don’t run the big kids wont chase you.

I suppose these days elementary schools have been defunded which leaves a lot of these lessons lost to history.

That’s not how self-defense works. You are allowed to strike first, if you reasonably perceive a similar threat to yourself or other innocents. You don’t have to wait for him to hit you first.

It could be enough to see him draw a deadly weapon in anger at you, for example. You can shoot him first. You don’t have to wait for him to shoot or stab you.

If you see a robber draw a gun on a cashier, you don’t have to wait for the robber to shoot first. You can make a preemptive strike and shoot the robber without waiting, since the innocent cashier is facing a deadly threat. You are even allowed to shoot the robber in the back without warning.

It doesn’t matter how you end the deadly force threat either, as long as the bad guy’s use of deadly force is unlawful. You can use a knife, a gun, a car, or a falling piano, if one of those happens to be handy.

Your examples are of the credible sort, first hand witness, we have none of that, we have Netanyahu.

An op-ed in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz has described some of Netanyahu’s ministers as “neo-Nazi” and “neo-fascist”.

That was in the

“I cannot bear Netanyahu,” former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was caught telling then-American President Barack Obama on a hot mic in 2011. “He’s a liar.”

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama had replied.

Rough opinions

Gaza, Syria, Iran, evidence that lines up with those articles, MTG is currently the best at articulating what many others are beginning to see

All this combined with his criminal trial is why Netanyahu launched against Iran now, after waiting 25 years, he’s being seen

I’m feeling sorry for you now, others surely will also, but

and as you refuse to learn and continue to defend many of those who feel sorry for you now will

that’s because

is not a credible statement.

If Iran would have fired first you’d have that support, but Netanyahu was out of time

feels sick, :up_arrow: can’t be tried

wait, j/k :down_arrow: feels strong

Your story is

for our mutual benefit does not correlate with

or desiring peace for mankind

but it does condone and perhaps supports kicking off WWIII, the worlds economy can’t handle more destabilization, we’ll all soon be hungry and war will become much closer. As a minority that should concern you all the more, especially if you’re seen to support Israels policies of war mongering (Gaza/Syria/Iran) by the hungry people closest to you, unless you have a plan to flea to Israel once the hunger games start…

Israel is not the only country who has had problems with Iran. For example, what did you think and what do you think now of the Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, and the fact that the US assassinated him in 2020?

For attacks orchestrated or attempted against American and other targets abroad, Soleimani was personally sanctioned by the United Nations and the European Union,[20][21][22] and was designated as a terrorist by the United States in 2005.[23][24][25]

The fact that Soleimani was working for Iran says something about who Iran’s enemies are.

Morning!

I don’t claim differently, Iran is the oldest country in the world, surely they’ve achieved that with some difficulties, as to assassinations I think poorly of them.

When evaluating whether a nation is a friend or foe today, centuries-old history is totally irrelevant. Recent actions, plans and policy are all that matters, and we’re talking at minimum about post-1979 Islamic Revolution, when Iran came to be led by a Supreme Leader. I also want to know what you think of Soleimani’s deeds in relation to Iran’s foreign policy towards the US.
