Wanna see something shameful?, i won’t disclose where i got this thing but it’s toast. it’s badly pitted from the rust. cylinder is rusted tight. hammer is too. got some PB blaster on it now.

Now here’s the bad part, it’s loaded. anyideas on what to soak it in. my main concern is to remove the cylinder and unload it.

Soak in any light oil, WD etc

you sure its worth the hassle?

Naw it ain’t no good. i just want to get the ammo out so it will be safe for disposal

Dig a deep hole, bury.

Only that is unloaded , the frame might be able to be saved .. that looks like an old model 3 screw . furthermore the barrel and cylinder would be bad

Those are the ones they typically do a conversion on and turn into 41 specials

Well yeah if it was buried in concrete or buried 4 or 5 feet down with a pile of large rocks over it etc.

It would be nice to find some middle ground with #beige, post pics of pets with latest books or a beach trip, begin a bridge for them to cross.

Beige lady likes photography, I have been posting photography from wildlife , natural scenes and flowers in nature . She had commented a few times that she liked . And in one photo there was coffee cup with the word snowshoe on it which is in WV and I commented on that and got a small conversation. Im trying

Like she wrote, don’t bring scuttlebutt, politics or opinions; just art, books or photo’s, an escape from the jungle. I can relate.

I fixed one up almost that bad.
Still see a little pitting. I’d ask for that one just for practice but the way transfers work in this state it just ain’t worth it any more.

Looked all over, can’t find the “Before”

Help me WD40. You’re my only hope.

Yup definitely WD-40 Rust Remover soak or Kano Kroil ExRust soak. Though I think Kano Kroil would be better, you can probably get both at your local lowes or home depot.
