The NAZI, The Boogeyman and The Paperclip

If you were watching movies in 1981 there was a horror comedy with a very scary scene, it was that of a family watching TV and upon answering a knock at the door they were cut down by machine-gun toting werewolf NAZI’s These days that scene is scary for a different reason. People fear its real. Social media platforms are working hard to create a safe space free of the boogeyman. Like wild animals they all signal to one another there’s a NAZI in their midst. Mastodon.social has a better user interface, a non-exploitative financial model, an extremely nice community, and no Nazis. So why isn’t mastodon.social winning?Tweet In psychology the term is bogyphobia , the website known as program secure? covers some of the causes. So, we have a lot of context, Nazi, Boogeyman and some info on fear causation, what about the paperclip? a secret United States intelligence program in which more than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technicians were taken from former Nazi Germany to the US for government employment after the end of World War II in Europehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_PaperclipTweet interesting, while some shut out, and down, others recruit? Kurt H. Debus, a former V-2 rocket scientist who became a NASA director… shiny example, not limited either, so the US, the world super power, recruits while the public appears to dumb down, willingly? …surely there’s a lesson here? Why isn’t mastodon.social winning? Fear and a false narrative, DEI is not truly DEI if the default for disliked persons is the NAZI label, you want DEI, then…

Confusing for sure, but, a new account

still trying to figure out

Applause for the sentiment! When I was in California, the most closed-minded and fearful people were DEI leftists. As soon as they got a hint that I held biblical values, they would literally shout me down and stop me from speaking. Back then they didn’t call me a Nazi, but nowadays, I’m sure they would.

It’s just as ludicrous as calling Ben Shapiro a Nazi, and it’s why I don’t believe the DEI movement acts in good faith anymore. It’s become a cult dogma, and even questioning it arguendo has become heresy. For example, debate clubs are afraid to touch the topic.

I’m sure as well.

You’re in a doubly odd situation too, the antisemitism flag should, on its face appear to be a help to you.

But it is more of the same

Antisemitism serves to make you the boogeyman to others, those of course now are known as NAZI’s but as you seem to grasp, it’s not legitimate and you yourself can make a nice NAZI in their eyes despite the obvious, or, seemingly obvious.

which should help enhance anyone’s vision to 20/20, problem is both noise and ignorance, well, times coming where whatever you know is what you know, now is when we need to decide what that is, we’re at war, lines are being drawn, sides taken.

I’d say any such club is already infiltrated, if rational discussion cannot be had, even if it seems ridiculous, then the goal is not understanding but dominance.

Thank you, I’m tired of BS, tired of waiting too on others to figure theirs out.

One short conversation recently on Mastodon, someone wrote

“To save time I’ll clarify that the main groups of people I don’t think should feel safe anywhere are billionaires and Nazis.”

I replied that was a NAZI view, then gave the example of Oscar Shindler, he was both, NAZI and wealthy, a lot of Jews are alive today due to his being both, he had influence and money to make a difference.

Rather than discuss I was told that was rude and blocked.

Is it debatable?, sure, what isn’t?

Now, here’s some more irony, the Mastodon software is being manipulated behind the scenes, and is done so by a leader in Germany.

:eye: :eye:

The software is meant to free people yet is being used to divide.

I plan to leave our instance up but am trying others, Mastodon is the largest but not the only option.

Si vis pacem, para bellum
