Ok, we have a great team of @campaign_supporters and a BIG THANK YOU to them all!
Growth plans have been slow, in part I’ve been waiting on the FULL30 and UGEtube collaboration to take shape.
That wait has me in more regular talks with FULL30 to include Sixguns and are going well.
Right now we have spearheaded a voyage into the Mastodon federated social network.
If you don’t know what that is, in simple terms its a decentralized software network that allows users on one server to interact with users on another.
Each server controls its own local environment so there is still a lot of firearms prejudice out there and that will always remain.
But we don’t have to take it, we have set up a place for the firearms curious to come and find out just what type of people own guns, us.
It is more subject to spam and abuse, replies can not be so easily regulated so if people come from a constant source of agitation we’ll be blocking that entire server.
We will need to have more members moderate and will put out more info on those needs soon.
What about this forum?
There are no plans to change it, except be aware in the near future we’ll be moving to a new server, that may involve down time, to get ahead of that please join and bookmark the Mastodon server here;
So we can a least use that while this forum is moved (soon).
And (insert shameless plug here), please contribute to our united efforts either by joining as a regular monthly supporter or even just a one time contribution
So this means we can talk to another forum or forums that use Mastadon, and how would I moderate ? Is this like when I search for reviews on say red dots, and I go to reddit or something like that and read replies ?
More like X (twitter) but there is reddit style software available I may add down the road if there’s a taste for it, a few other things to do along with get a handle on this new software first.
You will be dealing with replies to post on sixguns that have been submitted by our members. For example .
I put an article on about use of deadly force as a deterent . Someone from another server replies with your all Nazi pigs you gun owners should be thrown in prison. Then its time to block that person from denegrating our site and its members. If enough trouble is coming from said server for example with multiple persons from for example lets say it is . Twats.suckbags.com🤭 then we will block that entire server from enteracting with our server . That will be evaluated by Robert and Al and Me. As blocking an entire server is a much larger situation to consider.

Seemed like an articulate older black gentleman, Chuks Awa, Software engineer, politics, humor, etc, he’s under the impression the tariffs are a bad move, I don’t know how many moves we really have, seems like a good one IMO and we’ll find out, but, I won’t be discussing it up with Chuk
