Single action and double action wheel guns are revolvers. A 1911 is a single action pistol. A Kahr is a double action pistol. A Glock is a safe action pistol.
This kind of goes with clips vs magazines. I don’t care if someone calls a magazine a clip, but I hate people who call revolvers pistols.

It is almost always in my experience people who have zero experience with revolvers and people from Europe that refer to the Revolver as a pistol.

Zastava MPAP M70. They have a factory in Serbia, weld up the comp and a make few other import restrictions, send to their own factory in the US, restore to original, Serbian Ash furniture IIRC. One of the higher quality AK’s. 1.5mm bulged receiver.

Where is the derail train or the fat squirrel? Anyway, back on track, a pretty little color case hardened Uberti/ Navy arms 1873 in 38sp. Proof you don’t have to spend a lot to have a good quality good looking good shootin’ sixgun.

Think I paid around $300-$400 several years ago, probably $500? today’s dollars. Navy Arms Import, right out of your neck of the woods.

My first AK was 150 at a pawn shop
Ended up with a few others over the years in trade but nothing near 1000k
That’s money I’d put towards a SCARH as their lighter and softer shooting, might be louder though, boomier rather than barkier

That is very reasonable. I was noticing the cylinder looks to be shorter for a BP revolver. what is going through my mind is conversion cylinder ?? Is it possible the frame looks strong and barrel looks to be of good steel . @albroswift know anyone that converted one of these to cartridge style and then ran BP charges ?? As I am assuming SP is probably too much for such a revolver.

The 1873 Uberti is not “readily convertible” to metallic cartridge, and I think the cylinder is short compared to BP cylinders but about the same as other metallic cartridge 1873’s. Tribal knowledge suggests it was originally made to sell in countries where metallic cartridge revolvers and pistols were unobtainable. Don’t know if that is true or not. Turned out to be something of interest in a 2A country as well.
Note the ejector which is functional but useless, and no loading ram. Cylinder needs to be removed and loaded with a press. It is a unique firearm. I’m tracking down a display case, if enough people enter the 2024 Elmer Keith Shoot I will put it up as a prize with the case, some ball, a flask, wads and caps. No FFL no 10 day wait as required of moderns here in WA so it will be a nice win, really been a pain to have revolvers as prizes since the recent legislation.
