I was in Montana and got a call that Mike died. He had been in hospice for almost 2 weeks and then decided to go home. He died at home.
I have many of his books and articles. His knowledge came a long way with his writings. I know JT and others helped him along the way.
Mike was a nice guy and his works live on in print!

I live in Montana, not so far from Elmer Keith’s old haunt of Salmon. Idaho.
Looks like I won’t get to drift a little East to meet him.
Sad to see him go
