I’m didn’t read your article yet before posting this but for me depending on where I am I’ll use a hip holster that doesn’t cover my trigger especially the swivel type holster pretty much means I’m in bad lands and critters may try to make me lunch :pensive::flushed:

It’s America and you can do what you want, I am always concerned about naked triggers and anything getting caught in them. An unexpected “bang” is never fun. I don’t live in the area’s you mentioned and when I visit (Oregon, Washington, Wyoming) the great outdoors, I do wear a higher caliber OWB.

Running is dangerous
Besides, Proverbs 28:1 gives me pause to not run…
Of course 2 Timothy 4:7 Paul ran the good race…
Better not chance it…

I like TTGunleather’s “Mike’s Special”, Ingle Gunleather and Milt Sparks SSII for IWB strong side. For OWB, my favorite is Don Hume’s OT721, but I have to make sure to wear a good gun belt if it’s a heavy 1911.

The belt makes a major difference in carry. I have been wearing the Nexbelt everyday for over 2 years. I got mine from Ares Tactical however I don’t see them on their site anymore. I generally carry a G19 MOS and 2 spare mags. I have carried my G34 and 4 spare mags on that belt.

I have Nexbelts also, similar length of time. The older cloth-covered one is getting ripped up on the inside, and the ratchet strip has broken at a couple of the thinner spots, but it still functions. The newer leather Nexbelt has been holding up better, although I save that for Shabbos and holidays, so I wear it about 1/6th as often. In the past 12 months I’ve taken to wearing two guns on Shabbos plus an extra mag, all on the Nexbelt.

I don’t have a Nextbelt, but I have a Kore belt, which I think is similar? Anyway, it’s a good belt, but the ratcheting system is stiff and awkward to use, unlike all the other reviews I’ve read about it. So maybe I just got a stiff ratchet or something. But it holds up my heavy 1911 perfectly when worn OWB, and most importantly it’s thin enough to easily thread through the holster slots.

By comparison, my Mean Gene Leather belt is infinitely adjustable, like the Kore belt, and with an easy to use belt buckle. The only problem is that it’s really thick, making it difficult to thread through some holsters.

I’m looking for a deep concealment, zero-signature holster. It looks like the PHLster Enigma would be the ticket, and they have a 30% off clearance sale right now until March 3.

But, does anyone have a different recommendation? It has to work with business casual, tucked shirt.

As we don’t know you, size, shape, dress etc its a total crap shoot

That pic is a good example

I picked up similar

but concealment is always an evolution of sorts

That presents a challenge, the one you picked has a neat support option, keep you from losing your pistol down your leg, but is a pocket pistol a better option?

Aside from the Sig I have a G43, either good with loose pockets, not great for firm fit but better for quick retrieval than buried in a waste belt, IMO, practice may change that, or body shape.

Have you considered ankle carry?

I’ve had a number of ankle holsters and never fell in love with it but its an option to carry concealed and spare biting into your waste.

I have a couple of shoulder rigs also but they require an over shirt to conceal, business casual look in some cultures

Let us know if you do pick that rig up and how well you like it :slightly_smiling_face:

I was going to say pocket carry as well. I sometimes pocket carry a SW Shield Plus, but it’s a slightly too big for that and requires a good pocket holster and a lot of practice to draw correctly without pulling out the whole holster/pistol combo. I think a P365 or equally small handgun like that would be better than my Shield Plus for pocket carry.

I wear a kore belt as well, really like the stiffness. Goes through my OWB Craft holsters and dress pants well.

Just bought an Ares double duty in skull camo with a red dot cutout for my Walther PDP 4". Have to say their website and log in can be a pain in the ass.
