Gotta admit this new season has started out entertaining. A Mediterranean Riviera… nothing to do with the billions in gas and oil recently discovered of the coast of Gaza. I hate everything about that idea but love that we have a “boss” showing no fear.

As soon as I hear the Taxpayers will no longer pay for the VA to do sex change surgeries I will breathe a sigh of relief, that is a big one for me. The news front on ATF and gun control is not going the way I would like, We have no director of ATF right now so they can do whatever, Bondi the new AG is a red flag law supporter, Trump signed EO to protect the 2nd Amendment…a lot of mixed signals…Beware.

Honestly Pam Bondi was a mixed signal because she supported red flag laws, but you also have to look at it, she may have only supported them because it was the popular thing to do at that political climate or she was given bad intel. I don’t think she actually swings one way or the other on the 2A, she just wants to do the job as it’s supposed to be done according to the law and guidance of the White House.
As for the 2A Executive Order, only time will tell how that plays out, but the ATF has been carrying on like Biden hasn’t left the White House so i hope the Executive Order reins them in.

There’s some movement, according to The Four Boxes Diner. In pending cases, ATF lawyers are now telling the judges that the government is reassessing its stance on the old Biden-era ATF rules, in light of Trump’s new EO regarding 2A. They are asking for time to decide how to legally describe their new positions.

Yeah but realize this, they’ve paused the cases, literally put them in Limbo which technically is not a good thing, either have the cases dropped or dismissed.

Technically, it is neutral. Practically, given that they cited the EO, and that the government could reverse their positions, it stands to be a good thing. They also proposed a deadline for their upcoming filing 60 days later.
If the government does reverse positions, that is not just good news for named litigants against the ATF. It is also good news for us, since it shows that there is at least a favorable ambiguity in the law. Under the rule of lenity, ambiguity in a criminal statute always works in the people’s favor and against the government.

Did anyone notice that when Trump starts talk about adding a new state, the situation begins improving there?
- Panama - something happened to reduce tolls for American shipping, and an American company bought the canal.
- Gaza - Israel strengthened the blockade on Hamas, and instead of the prospect of sending US troops to occupy Gaza, Israel is now saying they will occupy Gaza with their own troops. That makes for fewer American souls stationed long-term in conflict zones.
- Canada - all the sudden those commies started to get… nationalistic? Motivated to defend their own sovereignty? Is this that jingoism the lefties despise? Oh, so delicious.
- Greenland - they start talking about independence from Denmark and getting nationalistic too. And we’re warning Russia and China to stay away, we’re watching there.
Is this Trump’s famous 4D chess? Or is there a guardian angel guiding and blessing his way?

This Canadian think tank leader gets Trump. He doesn’t like Trump, but he understands how he works. And that way he works is just like Trump described in The Art of the Deal: Scare the other guy s***less, make him think you will bring everything crashing down first. Then tell him what you really want. Trump knows what he is doing.
This stuff about 51st states is a bluff - haters will call Trump a liar for it. But to a dealmaker, a bluff is just a technique. If you have ever been to an Arab or Asian bazaar, or any other place where haggling happens, that’s the custom of the place, and it’s expected behavior. On the contrary, the more you bluff and haggle, the more you flatter the merchant and show your desire and appreciation for his product. Knowing this, the merchant bluffs as well from the start. It’s mutual.
The tariffs are about applying pressure and using our cards as negotiating tools - haters will call Trump a bully. But in the face of physical and geopolitical threats, the good guys need to be tougher than the bad guys, while keeping a heart of gold. China, Iran and Russia are tough too, but those regimes do not have that heart of gold. They do not believe in “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for their citizens. America does. Trump does.
