The first inactive user deletion occurred yesterday
The IP is from the Philippines and that’s the idea is to remove illegitimate accounts, often they are seeded to later be used for spam
But as it’s not known who is or is not spam, this can be avoided by simply posting a hello with a picture of your truck, dog and gun 
Just curious; what would one do if they’re living the country music life? My dog died, someone stole my truck and I lost my guns in one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes!

Or …take scuba diving classes find a few revolvers . Adopt a new pupper and use it to track down your truck then happily post all recovered items in the introduction thread .

without it, any variation of logon and password got a message that they couldn’t be the same - they weren’t of course
have to wonder how many have given up and left?
What you see are two separate things, the one must be checked, its the human verification, keeps the bots out.
The second is an FYI which is why it reads optional, nothing has to be typed there.
So long as you have that first box checked you should not have had an issue related to it, you did and I’m sorry for it,perhaps try to make another dummy account, see if it goes more smoothly with this info, you may just have had the moon slightly obscured by the chain of SpaceX satellites, in which case it was a one time deal and only affected you
