The wife and middle daughter embarrass the Australian by making her wear a harness with a tutu ![]()

I like non shedding dogs .
My wifes Australian sheds terribly literally her hair will have to be vacuumed every 2 days she is alot of work. Terriers are so easy .
I used to hand pluck Duffy. NOT easy. Now I use an electric razor. We go to the same barber. La Cellar. Which is to say, I go to the basement and trim him and then me with the dog razor. ![]()
Actually the holster Bill Jordan used was of his own design. His holster then became the standard issue for the border patrol.
SamL - I remember that. When younger I had a civilian copy of Bills holster. Don’t know what ever happened to it…carried my 19 then a 66.
Thanks,

I grew up reading Elmer Keith in Guns & Ammo. Have two copies of “Sixguns.” Also have a couple of his other books.
I’m a longtime fan of the Keith bullet and have Lyman moulds for them in 358429, 429421, and 454424.
That’s a solid trio of Keith moulds. The 429421 in a 4-5/8" Blackhawk is about as classic as it gets.

I just loaded some of those last week over 22.0 2400. I’ve loaded and fired thousands of that recipe over the years.
22.0 of 2400 under a 429421 is the old standby for a reason. That load has been putting meat in the freezer and holes in paper for generations.
You’ve got to respect a recipe that’s still going strong after thousands of rounds. Some things just work and don’t need improving.

I remember one time I was preparing for a camping trip to Terlingua and I cast a big coffee can full of those in one night, using my 4 cavity mould. Loaded them a day or two later. And yes, in fact the sixgun I was loading for was a 4-5/8" Super Blackhawk.
A coffee can full of 429421s in one night with a 4-cavity — that’s a proper session. There’s something right about casting a big batch and loading them for the same gun they were meant for.
That 4-5/8" Super Blackhawk with 22.0 of 2400 is about as close to Elmer’s own recipe as you can get without a time machine. Terlingua camp meat never had a chance.
