An Italian copy of a Russian copy of a Confederate copy of a Colt conversion? I’ll take it!

I have the same revolver with a slightly shorter barrel. Only paid $400.00 for it 2 years ago.

That is a conversion replica. It shoots 38spl.
It’s not black powder.

ahh, that’s a good selling feature :+1:

That’s octagon barrel, so take the “Confederate copy” part out. Both look like '51 conversions.

The one @Max is picturing does not have an octagon barrel but the one @shooterrex is picturing has an octagon barrel ,think what your seeing is the ejector rod on @Max 's pic

Yep, first one is round typical of confederate so Russian replica of a confederate copy of a 51 colt…
Second one is octagon so replica colt no confederate copy.
Both look like metallic cartridge conversions

Or not…

I can’t tell if you’re joking or you really want to buy this?

May not be best deal but sales support local store, is near Seattle ways north.

Yes, kind of joking. Revolver like that in cap n ball configuration is worth about $200 maybe a little more, but conversions jobs are expensive, couldn’t see it very good in the photo but usually $400 or more for a good one. Looks like it had the gate recess cut in the frame also, and ejector, so some smithing as well. I know nothing about Russian revolvers, may have been built originally as a conversion copy or replica, who knows. could very well be a $650.00 revolver. I’d take a look at it just for curiosity sake if I was in the area.

FYI, when I use the word:
Copy: Like when Griswold and Gunnison made their 1851 Colt pattern revolvers, except with round barrel and brass castings to be used by the Confederacy.
Replica: Modern copies like 1800s pattern revolvers from Italy, Spain, Russia?, etc.

Original Russians had octagon barrels. Googling around I can’t find anything like it, but didn’t try that hard.

Let me know how it runs, I had a glock 26, about the same size, I loved to run it but the damn thing was a finger pincher, somewhere between mag and frame, I eventually punted it for that reason, it hurt :face_holding_back_tears:
