A good friend has decided to wean down his collection because both his kids are left coasties with all that implies and he wants to see his guns with someone who will appreciate them. He pulled this out and laid it on the counter and asked if I would be that person. It was bought for his grandmother, manufactured in 1921. Handed down to him. Never had the 32-20 hit rifle loads in it, lockup is tighter than it has any right to be. Original aluminum Tyler T adapter. He had me cold. And the price was extremely reasonable. Since I make knives and grips, I am going to give this grand lady a new set of clothes and a matching knife. Keep y’all in the loop.

deep sigh
It’s amazing how a generation can be robbed, or, duped, as kids you just don’t know what you’re giving up by dismissing history and firearms history in particular, nice share
BTW, can you post a pic of a round next to a more common round to show the difference?

That was the purpose of the Hitler Youth, to educate the next generation into a society that thinks the way you want them to think.
