Arming up? Not well enough 😬

And this is a Chinese ā€œhome buildā€

@Robert This is not a surprise, undoubtedly there are many more advances like this we are not aware of. Because a majority of humanity wants to believe in the "better nature " of people ( I don't blame them, you sleep better ), the smoke and mirrors employed by whomever governs still works as efficiently as ever.

The Chinese can do this because all the robotics parts stores and factories are next to each other. If you need motors, propellers, controllers, custom PCBs, you walk a couple blocks and there it is. You can build stuff using a home workshop and off-the-shelf components.

Japan used to have this in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, but it’s fading, quickly being replaced by anime and manga-themed businesses. I don’t think anything like this exists in America.

Just think what it takes to make a motor. You need the steel housing from stamped and folded steel. For that, you need tool and die makers, and a manufacturer of sheet steel. Then you need magnets, which also need molds, furnaces, and most of all rare-earths, (which we currently import from China and Trump is starting to mine domestically). The spindle likely needs to be manufactured by a CNC lathe. The electromagnetic cores are made of a special alloy of steel using silicon instead of carbon, known as electrical steel. These are sheet metal, die-cut and stacked into the correct layer shape.

The point is, all these components require a variety of specialized skills and equipment, and it takes lots of investment to co-locate them all and onshore them. China has a head start of around a decade or more. It would have gotten worse if Trump hadn’t started with the tariffs.

Smarter Every Day on YouTube did a multi-year experiment, to see what it takes to make something completely in America. It’s really hard. There is a lack of infrastructure in the US.

wow, on a few fronts, great video, and yeah, I plan to order one

but,

While it’s not spoken plainly, a NAFTA/CAFTA mention and moved on, the problem is we were sold out by our elected officials

That’s no small thing, however, there’s an even bigger sell out going on and no, you won’t like me pointing it out, you’ll undoubtedly feel safe

Our politicians are selling us out to Israel

Look at the top ten on this list, how many of these people do you trust?

https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/summary?cycle=All&ind=Q05&recipdetail=S

Why, is Trump being sold down the same river, what does it mean for Americans?

Looking at that list, I’m seeing a lot of squishy names or closet enemies of Israel. That tells me that the funding was targeted to politicians on the fence or who needed to be tempered. Most recipients are Democrats, which polls more lukewarm or even in opposition to Israel, compared to general ardent support among Republicans. In that vein, many politicians are missing from the top of that list who nevertheless vote consistently in Israel’s favor; those reps are not being bought, but appear to be voting their honest conscience.

For example, HRC is one of the squishy names. Lately she has been saying some lukewarm things about Israel (e.g. ā€œpropaganda is not education,ā€ and that in 2000 at Camp David, the PLO was offered basically all the land then occupied by Palestinians, but Arafat rejected it over the peace provision). But data from her email server says she was calling the shots on pro-Palestinian protests. I suspect Soros etc. were also bribing her at the same time in favor of the Palestinians, and she wanted the money. Soros has since then continued funding pro-Hamas protests through a long chain of dark money megacharities.

Biden also had competition for his loyalties between pro-Israel orgs and pro-Palestinian orgs (ibid.). On the balance, however, his administration severely tested the alliance with Israel, enough for Iran and Hamas to hope he would be president over Trump. He famously restored Palestinian funding which Trump 1.0 had cut, and threatened Israel with sanctions and with ending the resupply of Israel’s defensive ā€œIron Domeā€ if it were to cross a Rafah ā€œred lineā€. In general he restricted exports of arms to Israel, perhaps more than any other president, following Oct 7. Of course, he also approved the unfreezing of $6B of funds to Iran and the sale of oil from Iran to China, which enrichment undoubtedly contributed to Iran’s proxy Hamas’ attacks on Israel. If pro-Israel orgs were not offering him what they were, I think local and foreign attacks on Jews and Israelis would have been even worse. As it was, it doesn’t appear to me that those donations turned him into a friend of Israel.

On Ted Cruz, his recent win over pro-Iranian-nuclear-deal Beto O’Rourke in 2018 was very narrow, by 50.9% to 48.3%. Cruz has also been vigorously pushing for school choice in Texas, endorsing local candidates over that issue, as well as personally arguing school choice in front of the parliamentarian for the recent OBBBA. That has significance for Israel, since the largest teacher’s union in America, the NEA, is dominated by anti-Israel voices who voted to remove antisemitism training. (That nonbinding recommendation was rejected by leadership; but if the teachers themselves voted this way, I doubt leadership will stop them from biasing lesson plans toward the Palestinians). I don’t believe the pro-Israel funding was intended to change Cruz’s opinions, but rather to fund his many initiatives which are in the interest of both America and Israel.

I posted it as I saw enemies of the American people, at least people that value the Republic and constitution, 1A/2A etc, you say you see

so you’re agreeing Israel is buying people off albeit it you indicate for safety, whats the famous quote?

This is not the joke thread :face_with_peeking_eye:

look at other ideologies tracked by open secrets, you’ll see most are typically funded either by left or right, Israel does not seem at all so cut and dry, here’s a different list, easier to distinguish

image

But this is it you see, money speaks, whats Israel saying?

image

That’s their agenda, but it’s not a pro US agenda, its not a pro America agenda, my point in asking

was those names on the top ten are enemies of freedom, those hell bent on taking freedom, guns etc.

Right now the ā€œpro Israelā€ agenda is taking our first amendment, do I need to link articles to that affect?

Hate speech, that’s the same recipe as the DEI agenda and it’s bullshit.

So, what does Israel get in return for its investment?

So, Americans get to pay for that 14 billion plus how much in interest on that debt?

And the result is war with Iran?

Well, war is money, problem is money approved by congress which again equals more debt.

It’s not that I personally blame Jews, I do not, but who’s the tool here anyhow?

Is US using Israel, Israel using the US, or, another power using both?

Iran has not always been hostile with the US

How this has changed IMO was

and I can’t say who’s controlling who or what the final outcome will be, better or worse, if the South had won the US civil war things would not be as they are now, but then again, they too might be better, the North won using a scorched earth policy, terrorism, whats changed?

I’m not pro Israel, I’m pro US, the US historically is a Christian nation, it’s success can not be denied, but Israel is anti Christ, can the US be partnered with a nation that does not share with it’s historical success?

So, if not, what are we doing in bed with Israel?

Same with Ukraine though, how do we partner with Russia with the ISS and then threaten it with nuclear war?

IMO, both Israel and Ukraine need to fight their own battles, make their own peace, your video shows the result of a helpless US, that’s going to be greatly exasperated when we’re broke from funding these wars, where will we be then?

That’s a singular American view, another is the US intentionally uses Israel to proxy war with Iran and Ukraine to war with Russia, if so, that’s not the American people but politicians, when do the people speak up?

We think we’re speaking up by electing Trump, but he seems to be a useful idiot, when do we say

??

Why do I suggest this?

Look where we are in regard to nuclear war

look at whats left to fulfill of the 45 goals

I don’t like it, but that is how reps and senators are influenced. China, an enemy of Israel and America and ally of Iran, is doing the same thing. Unlike Israel, Chinese government media puts out ā€œbeat Americaā€ propaganda. If you look into it, the recent influence operations and espionage conducted by the Chinese are much more salacious than anything I heard about Israel. For example:

The monetary influence of countries like China may never be known, because unlike AIPAC which conducts its activities openly and properly registers itself with the US government, China is not an ally, and must generally conduct its influence operations in secret. So the above is just a sampling of what we know about.

Now which is a bigger threat to America, Israel or China? Is Israel even a threat at all?

Put it in context. Israel is a longtime ally. AIPAC operates legally.

Most of AIPAC’s donors are likely not even Jews. There are approximately 7.5M Jews in America (pop. ~350M). If Pew Research is to be believed, 6.7M Jews (89%) support the Israeli people, and only 4.5M (54%) support the Israeli government. On the other hand, well over 100M voting-age Americans support Israel’s action in Gaza (see table).

Party % of eligible voters eligible voters % support IDF in Gaza Est. support IDF in Gaza
Republican 28% 75M 76% ~57M
Independent 43% 110M 34% ~39M
Democrat 28% 75M 23% ~17M
Total 100% 267M 42% ~110M

With those numbers, and the likelihood of any Israel supporter to donate specifically to AIPAC, I would guess that most of AIPAC’s 5M membership is not Jewish.

I definitely saw lots of that as well, but that categorization doesn’t work 100%. Take Ted Cruz for example. While he’s not necessarily MAGA, he is a traditional conservative and certainly doesn’t want to destroy America. Relevant to guns and this forum, he showed off his ā€œCome and take itā€ lone star boots on Capitol Hill, and he voted to oppose the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, and in favor of gutting the NFA.

Categorizing everybody on that list as pro-Israel doesn’t really work either, as I explained.

No. Those are arms sales. Israel is paying.

Also, I’m not seeing $14B, I’m seeing $7.4B, but maybe I’m missing something? (Despite Reuter’s claim that this defies Congress, they admit that it is legal, and it only defies a non-binding request from some Democratic members of Congress, who are thankfully currently in the minority. The Senate rejected Bernie Sander’s ban on arms sales to Israel.) The $14B number might be Israel’s own total arms sales the rest of the world, including America. (I want to try a Galil and their Tavors!)

BTW, there are also defensive reasons for America to ally with Israel. Israel is sharing the technology from their very successful and battle-tested Iron Dome that Trump wants to form elements of an American ā€œGolden Dome.ā€ Relevant to the OP, this technology was instrumental in defending Israel from hundreds of Iranian and Hamas drones.

How much would you be willing to pay for that capability as a nation?

Not only that, but Israel has consistently been providing the US with intelligence about hostile military technology. For example, the Russians. The Russians have been selling weapons to Israel’s Arab enemies for a long time, and in the process of defending against that onslaught, Israel gained unique information and obtained rare, actual functioning Russian armaments that it shared with the United States.

Israel is also the world leader in counter-terror tactics, for unfortunately obvious reasons. IDF trainers regularly come and teach American troops, sharing their invaluable knowledge and techniques.

The anti-Zionists and ā€œliberalsā€ exploited the first amendment to shut conservatives down on Big Tech in collusion with the government. Then they took over schools and universities, physically attacked Christians as well as Jews, and even former Muslims.

The violent crimes are not just anecdotal. Analysis of FBI statistics have shown that in every year since 1991 when hate crime data began being collected, Jews were the most frequent targets. The FBI also shows a huge spike in antisemitic hate crimes in October 2023.

Given the nexus to actual crime, I can understand the overkill in the proposed bill language, even if I think it went too far.

Although the IHRA definition of antisemitism is a decent guideline, it has a substantial subjective element. Before laws are based on that, more objective criteria need to be written which make clearer what is and is not antisemitism.

Also, it needs to be clarified that antisemitism is only a sentencing enhancement or component of a crime, not a crime on its own. An actual crime, tort or adverse employment action etc. should be proven first before considering motive.

I have to say Israel, not because China is not a threat, but because Israel appears to be a friend, we don’t see that much with China.

Israel has half the Christians convinced they’ll be cursed to speak up against it, maybe more IDK.

There’s a ton to discuss, and you made a point on the weapons sales I’m not prepared to argue, but your link was IMO a poor example as it headlines Trumps actions in favor of Israel against US Congress

So much is going on, and so quickly, but bottom line, well, I’d suggest listen to one of Trumps supporters, Candice Owens, who says twice Trump is effectively castrated, you’ll find that at about 18:05 here

https://www.banned.video/watch?id=6893d81b1a4f3e40af89d996

image

She says Trump has abandoned America first, abandoned his supporters, that the US is turning into the EU, Candice is being sued by a foreign country for free speech and Trump could easily stick up for her as she has for him for so long, has he?

No.

Why? He’s too busy? Her opinion is stupid and laughable? IDK, it’s a single straw of many, many that are derailed by Israel first, what can be done, I’d say not much if anything.

Candice says ā€œBibi Netanyahu Is The President Of The United States, effectivelyā€ at about 4:15, many can see that as true, but, many others can not.

Funny thing is it’s like the Biden mystery, who was in charge during his presidency, but this time we can see who because Trump pulled up a chair for him

Why can’t others see this?

Willingness? Rather, unwillingness?

Things are ugly with Trump so likely many would just go full fetal position without him, like they know the lyrics are true:

We’ll end the world when all hope is gone

Candice covers that too, it doesn’t fucking matter, she’s black, people don’t like blacks, that’s their prerogative as Americans, 1A, and if people harm her for being black then they face assault or other charges, to say it’s a hate crime motivated by a dislike of blacks is moot, assault is assault, it’s a republic, all are equal under the law, same with antisemitism, it’s all meant to divide not protect.

It seems almost to simple to be true but, nailed it! I never bought the idea that I can be told not to hate someone or something…… and then what, I assault them because I love them…?… I always thought hate was one of those instincts placed in me by God, he even warns me not to let it abuse me but I don’t recall a requirement to eliminate it….. Robert?

From day one I saw that hate crime stuff for what it was, a jurisdictional grab, the end result of voting with emotion for emotional things, keep the emotions high….. then people will argue when they have no difference to argue over.

Good question, can it be moderated, can it be like fear, a tool?

Or is it like light and darkness, where darkness can not exist within the light?

Why do those with hate seem so damn difficult to reach?

I’d say that’s as good a description as anything, it creates classes, those classes have protectors, the people are assigned to protect have jurisdiction.

With just the slightest opening of the esoteric door, what is the true power of hate?

Why was Jesus Himself so hated by those who held the power of His day?

Jesus is all about forgiveness, pricking the heart so hate drains out, is it possible He was trying to teach us hate held us back from something bigger, if so, does that continue today and does breeding hate ensure many never see salvation?

That echoes

Is that reference boiled down simply to mean a local physical city:

ā€œThe possessors of the gateā€ were the controllers of the affairs of the city.

??

Or, is there a larger meaning in the term city?

I said slightest opening of the esoteric door so I’ll cut it short.

image

I’d say yes, here’s two considerations,
We need to be forgiving

and love our brothers/neighbors

when asked who that is

we’re given the story of the good Samaritan, which tells us not to separate Jew from Samaritan, i.e. we’re all brothers.

I have said exactly that many times. Mostly because of people and the ones who don’t want to work.

What will happen I feel is when/if manufacturing happens in this country again as it is being touted, AI and robotics will have to be part of the plans.
