So, this thread, replies and comment here
are begining to take shape with respect to my recent finding testing Mastodon.
IMO open source software people have common ground with firearm people.
Microsoft - Google and Apple are three evil companies.
(Strike 1, I’ve just hurt a lot of feelers)
WTF are you talking about?
That’s the thing, no one has put it all together and I’m nearing Strike 2
Microsoft is software, you need to understand that, how IBM plays in and its human connections with IBM.
IBM was used to number Jews
Google and Apple were moved to China where the lack of oversight allowed the deep state to do what they want with them, so, its not that they are in China, or, better said, its not China that makes them bad, it’s that by being there they can avoid accountability with respect to privacy, and when using them, YOU HAVE NONE.
Back to open source and firearms people.
Open source is about freedom, as is firearms ownership.
So, why can’t they be united?
Who says they can’t?
Ok, so whats the problem?
That’s simple, its people.
ok, take first base on a bunt but watch the second baseman as he’s watching you.
Ok, what about people?
They suck.
Sorry, like it or not, second base is secured.
People crave security and certainty, they go with the narrative, they agree with each other.
So, open source people who’ve spent their time behind a keyboard have not likely made firearm friends and if they have not likely made friends with the ones who sing along with Uncle Ted
And firearms people can’t even pronounce Linux or understand the need to sudo.
Recently the open source world was flooded by X refugee’s who wave pride flags, cry racism and bigotry while being in fact the biggest bigots.
It’s not that difficult for open source people to accept them either, just listen to Uncle Teds song, he’s mean, he hurts feelers, he criticizes people for what, to own a gun?
No way a gun guy is getting third base.
But, we can’t hide who we are, right?
But neither can we explain of defend who we are either.
I try and instant block, time and time again
no matter the approach, it can be direct, indirect, common sense, concern etc etc people will not exit their safe space.
@musashiaharon this reply was not meant to you so much as to all but I’ve spent enough time with you to say you fit that to a T yourself, you have a comfort zone and I don’t see you willing to exfil.
Its not my place to pull you from it and I don’t believe
will do it.
Not trying to call you out but an app would not insulate you enough to affect the change required, so I hope by saying so you’ll see that and take the next step, out of your safe space.
If a Jew and Catholic can work together, who’s next to do the same?
What if down the line you find you can work with HAMAS, not the group, the people within the group who crave the same things you do?
Our mutual enemies use identity politics to keep us from uniting
Insulating is the problem, its why I get blocked time and time again on Mastodon.
There’s no app, central or decentralized software that will get the horse to drink the water.
Censorship is as much self imposed as it is regulated by others.
What app can fix that?
The irony of this post is right now I’m finding I can not effectively unite with other firearms owners who want to unite, who use text and won’t use email.
I don’t text, IMO a text is good for asking someone to bring home a pizza after work, not for conveying meaningful thoughts, so, if I don’t text, they don’t email, we don’t unite.
But apple software works between the two…
That’s why we need open source software.
X is helping the open source community right now, but, can the community help itself?
