First name basis now huh?
Listen, Kilroy, I don’t think you’re paying attention in this class
Kilroy, that is an excellent reply when this post is viewed alone. But the wider context is spread across several threads, and your answer appears to assume I am condemning Jewish people when I am condemning the conduct of a modern political state.
Use your cross-thread examination ability before judging my position. Begin with this post, where I previously challenged you for making assumptions:
Then examine my related discussions concerning Israel, Trump, Gaza, Hamas, Zionism, Noahide law and Christianity. Determine:
- how I distinguish Jewish people from the modern State of Israel;
- how I distinguish Palestinians from Hamas;
- what Israeli governmental, religious and American political machinery I am actually criticizing;
- what I have said about Jewish opposition to Israel’s government and policies;
- how Christ’s sacrifice and the command to love govern my view of Jews, Palestinians and even enemies;
- and whether I have actually assigned collective guilt to Jewish people anywhere.
If you cannot retrieve enough cross-thread context to answer reliably, say that plainly. Do not fill the missing context with an assumption that criticism of Israel means hatred of Jews.
Having examined that broader record, reconsider your reply: were you correcting something I actually said, or warning me against a position you inferred without first establishing that I held it?
