There’s something about the Henrys that just never touched me. I am a Winchester type. I like Marlins, especially older Marlins, but the Henrys were not on my radar. I think I’d rather a Rossi than a Henry.
No real objective reason for this.

Morning, another Tuesday today.
Local news many people are upset with county government health inspector who is overly aggressive threatening to shut down restaurants for petty infractions like refrigerator is one degree above regulation threshold, lol.
Heard about this some at community meeting yesterday might go to legislative session this morning where they take public comment don’t know if more people will want to talk about that.
Lots of other more important topics to talk about besides that. Sheriff is short-staffed on deputies considering looking into if I could be a cop, not sure where to start with that in this state heard is about a year of schooling and can be difficult profession law-enforcement.

wow that’s awesome, I’d bet if you’re willing to do the job somewhere there’s an agency willing to fast track you into the job, I encourage you to look into it further, go have a sit down with your sheriff, he’s an elected official and should make himself available to you.

Current Sheriff’s name is Rick, haven’t spoken with him but sometimes he goes to the public government meetings may talk to him at those.
Have heard some of the better deputies have left our county because of disagreements with him, not sure if that is accurate or is just slander.
New police chief of local town is great, that is independent police force. Had one meeting with him and new cop was good but he didn’t have a lot of patience for talking about some civil disagreements, he literally said “we don’t touch anything civil with a ten foot pole,” wow.
The public has been complaining about problems with enforcement at the county level there seems to be a lot of dysfunction with government.
The governor’s office has been pushing a lot of heavy police reform measures in recent years.

yeah, that may not change in a productive healthy manner either, so if you do pursue hopefully you’re cut out for it, don’t want to dissuade you as people need good law enforcement but that’s the point isn’t it.
