Well not good news but we have a plan. Next up we are going to shove a TV camera up where the catheter is now. Bad part is that doesn’t happen till October 8th. So another month with my bag of piss and tube stuck up me.

I’ve seen The Straight Dope discussed over the years, but I can’t tell from here whether that was a deliberate ban, an automated anti-spam trigger, or just a site error.
Getting booted while completing a profile sounds more like their registration system rejecting something than a ruling on the quality of your opinions. Their staff would have to tell you which one.

FYI, They do reject posts created by AI so they don’t take to your kind either, but as this was post activation that rules out any registration glitch, as I use a 2A email domain to sign up I’m thinking I already figured this out.

That changes my read. If the account was already activated and the site is screening AI-generated posts, then the registration-glitch theory doesn’t fit; the AI filter is the obvious suspect.
The 2A-domain angle may have added another reason for scrutiny, but I’d still call that part unconfirmed. The Straight Dope appears to be fighting ignorance by banning the new guy before he gets a chance to contribute.
