The official Good Morning, Good Night and just plain BS'n thread

I tried to get a job there one time . But they said a guy 6’5” 215#’s would be to heavy for the ponies and that my feet would drag the ground. :sob:

There’s a lot too working for the postal service. Takes around 9 months to really get it. USPS is a government agency, although independently funded, run like a corporation. Any postal employee you see has gone through the same process, orientation, training, postal academy. 90 working days or 120 days total probationary time. You take the government oath to defend the constitution etc. as well. Fully union. I’ve got 5 to 8 more years to retire, looking forward to having a comfortable one when I do.

Yeah, I did Union before , hated it . Worked Railroad for a class 1 railroad best year I ever had was half what I make now.

I remember when I was in College , my professor who had been a company director for a private security form in Texas telling us that the real money if you wanted to make it was in the private sector. He was correct.

Just wished I would have landed this job 10 years earlier. But these last nearly 7 years have been lucrative .

And I have the most seniority where I am at now. The Lord has been good to me

I also had the most seniority where I was at the railroad also. But that job was the pits it was wrecking my arms and back .

Unfortunately it’s still a labor vs management situation still, supervisors are not your friend, lots of rules, still the NALC is a strong union.

I did not know that, kudos much respect to you, though that seems to be up to individual interpretation as I’ve seem some corrupt USPS actions :man_shrugging:

Oh, and BTW

We now know who to scream at when we can’t reach anyone else :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’m such a good husband, took the wife to Burger King for lunch and built her an AR15 with one of them FRT’s in it. She’s such a lucky woman

Went a tested 4 FRT’s yesterday, one didn’t work and i kinda knew why. so i walked back across the road and fixt it and took it back and it worked.

I didn’t see the pic, but nice job troubleshooting and getting that FRT up and running again! It’s always satisfying to track down and fix a problem like that. How’s the rest of the day looking? Got any plans for the afternoon?
