Morning gents :hot_beverage: , started 11 years ago, needed a way to exercise with a back that could go out or knees that wouldn’t let me run. Public pools aren’t bad, lap times are usually inconvenient for working people. Most cities have pools these days, as well as hotels. Best if walking or running are combined with swimming.

The pool brings me very close to GOD, when your in the lane it’s just you and your determination to achieve your goal that determines whether you succeed or fail. It’s a beautiful pool as well, often I’ll stop and pray and just thank GOD for the chance to be there and for the many blessings we are given. The prayer of Jabez is a power packed little prayer, my go to for talking too the man. :folded_hands:

I know of only 1-indoor swimming poo it was owned and operated by the YMCA and recently changed hands . That isn’t a thing here in WV indoor swimming pools are rare.

True, in small towns, like Lebanon where I reside the community pool is at the high school, or the YMCA in Albany. I do have to drive 25 minutes for the health club, still worth it. The cost of dues is still cheaper than a serious medical bill.

Interesting, and refreshing to hear, why people reject the idea of expressing such a thing baffles me, without discussion growth is pretty much non existent, a pool brings you a certain zen, a feeling of connection, I understand, wish I had a pool myself, a warm one to as it’s damn cold out

Now, the “feeling” is good, like a metal detector it hones in on a source, what else is needed?

Listening for one, speaking for another, but, we have two ears and a single moth for a reason.

Never heard of this, it is what?

I jumped over and back to this for a reason, it is IMO tumblers on the key, not the key itself, but, necessary

and if we don’t seek God, whether it be by sensing proximity or listening or speaking about or to Him.. well, then we won’t find God will we.

It’s not how you play the game
It’s if you win or lose, you can choose
Don’t confuse win or lose, it’s up to you

Have heard of your neighbor’s, Virginia, extreme turn to liberalism just recently?

The laws the have passed makes California look safe , this quote and article barely scratch the surface, it’s way more extensive and worse than stated, and sneaking in everywhere just like this too

Virginians were told they were voting for moderation. Somehow, massive tax hikes, a criminals-first justice policy and extreme partisan gerrymandering never made their TV ads,

We swim in lakes and rivers mostly we have a county pool which is about 6 miles from the house dont open till memorial day and closes labor day . Short span of time . I guess being in a pool to some must be like being back in your mother womb. I don’t know. I always just enjoy the dry more and water to me is a mountain stream or a small lake with trout in them

And The whacko’s in Virginia is why we became West By God Virginia :raising_hands:

The only state Born out of Conflict.

Formed in 1863

Originally supposed to encompass more of Kentucky but surveyors messed up and surveyed the Tug river which is a stream most of the time unless it floods and as it happened in 1863 much rain had occurred before surveyors plotted the stste boundaries and mistook thw Tug River which was swollen from run off for a bigger river now housed in Kentucky.

Morning gents :hot_beverage: , 1 Chronicles 4:10, a prayer buried in a long geneological list, sits there all by itself. Not something I even casually speak, it has real power. A man named Jabez asks GOD to be blessed with more 'territory’, old wording 'shoreline’, his hand upon him to protect him from having or causing pain. Historically the region where Jabez lived was by the sea, and greater shoreline would have made him more prosperous and able to do more across the spectrum of his faith, family and community. Any blessing and gift from GOD comes with a price, an obligation to share and be responsible for those increased blessings you’ve asked for, especially personal ones. Very powerful, this prayer gives you greater responsibility and growth if your ready.

We are Forcast for up to 18” of snow. possibly a little ice. My sister and her husband fly out for a cruse and I’m home on the farm. Their house has a whole house generator so if the power goes out no big deal. 500 gal propane tank feeding it. Bucket on the 4wd tractor will move snow. Just me and all the dogs, cats, cows, goats and chickens.

Afternoon Yall.

Interesting, I used to tire of the OT teachings when I went to a Baptist church, much preferred NT and would have preferred Revelation which just never happened there.

Having read the prayer I now question this:

do you back that with NT like:

or other?

Morning all :sun_with_face:
