The .44 magnum sixgun

Glad you are back, we may need some safe cracking advice :hugs:

I been shooting big calibers for so long …over 20 yrs. That the 44mag feels light to me.
Felt recoil is different for everyone. That is the weird thing about big calibers 44mag and up. I havent shot a 500S&W yet but I have no doubt I would be fine with it.
I have a .460 and my hunting rounds are at the upper end of the spectrum and my practice rounds are little reduced. When I drag my 44mag out it is much easier to handle.

I hit 60 years old last month… That means I have been watching the .44 magnum rounds go down range for quiet a while now… I’ve been duplicating the Keith load for over half my life. Ive just arrived on this forum, though I’ve been reading and following John Taffin for almost as long as he’s been writing. I’m working on heavy 310 grain loads now, so I’ll be doing a lot of research here over the next few weeks. Glad to be here, and thanks!
