As I noted in my PM’s some users don’t use this option
But I can attest that it does keep PM’s between users, normal PM’s send the content and email providers can view that content, encrypted can only be viewed between users,
BUT
Don’t loose your 12 word paper key as if you do you can’t see your own PM’s you previously sent without being invited back in.
If you loose your 12 word paper key you can disable encryption and then re-enable to use again going forward, if you needed something in an old PM just ask the user to use the invite option and ask you back in.
Normally you won’t need to enter your paper key but there are times you will so do save it where you can find it.
Now, there are hiccups I noted, one is if you skip this step
it causes headache, if you skip this and then log out the system thinks you set and saved one and you can’t read your PMs
To try to combat this I changed the text
But undoubtedly we’ll have people with issues so now you know the why and the what, the where is in your profile/preferences/security all the way to the bottom
You can disable, enable or add a device
