Before dismissing Hagee as one odd preacher in an old video, look at the flock he inherited. In 1980, Jerry Falwell and the Israeli Embassy arranged a meeting between Menachem Begin and eight American evangelical ministers. James Kennedy told Begin, “Jesus Christ loves you.” Charles Stanley then asked: “What can we do that would encourage you?” Begin answered politically. He later said he would report the ministers’ support to President Carter as proof that Israel’s position had backing beyond American Jews. A year later Falwell was saying: “To stand against Israel is to stand against God.” Stop there. How did “Jesus Christ loves you” become “What can we do for the Israeli government?” And how did standing with Christ become standing with a foreign state so completely that opposing that state could be preached as opposing God? Look in the margin. Genesis 12:3 says: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee…” Thee. God is speaking to Abram. But Scofield tells the reader that from Genesis 12 onward Scripture has “primarily in view Israel.” He describes the call of Abram as the beginning of “the creation of the nation of Israel.” That is the turn. A promise spoken to one man begins to be read through Israel. Once that reading is planted beside the text, the rest becomes much easier to understand. There is the seed. If the promise is supposed to work this way , bless Israel and the nation is blessed , then what exactly are we looking at now? The United States joined Israel in war with Iran. Six months later, the war has cost tens of billions, energy disruption has fed inflation, and the national average price of diesel has crossed $6 a gallon. Reuters attributes the diesel surge in part to the U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran and the resulting supply disruption. The trucker pays it. The farmer pays it. Freight carries it into the price of almost everything. If this is the national “blessing” Christians were taught to expect from standing with Israel, it is a strange blessing indeed. Or perhaps the premise deserves another look, and specifically diesel. Hormuz is already barely moving traffic, Reuters says only four commodity vessels crossed on Monday, versus about 125 large commercial vessels per day before the war. Saudi Arabia’s main pipeline around Hormuz was hit and shut down. Loadings from Yanbu on the Red Sea stopped. Houthis are tightening pressure around the Bab el-Mandeb route, the narrow strait between Yemen on one side and Djibouti/Eritrea on the other, connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and then the Arabian Sea. Russia is also restricting diesel exports, repeated refinery strikes have crippled a large share of its own production, forcing Moscow to restrict exports just to protect domestic supply. The backup routes are not merely threatened. They are being cut off one by one. curse him that curseth thee… 🤔 ---

As to John Hagee , He is very odd indeed , I dont cotton to his strange stuff. He had a whole thing on the blood moon . Blah blah blah every time the guy turns around He is selling a new book. I just want to say this Jesus wasn’t in the synagogue trying to use the book of Isaiah to sell books and get rich He was preaching from it proclaiming himself as that one who’s report would not be believed. JESUS literally read Isaiah 61: 1,2 which says [1] The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; [2] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; Isaiah 61 : 1-2 showed that He was the one that was sent to them . John Hagee IMHO has some explaining to do but, not to me . Later on John reveals this . [37] But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: [38] That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? The stronger argument is not simply “Chevron and Exxon are gouging.” It is that a price shock creates an enormous pool of money, and anyone with policy influence, market-moving communication, or exposure to energy securities deserves scrutiny. The Iranian comparison demonstrates the size of the contrast, but it does not by itself prove what the U.S. retail price should be. Iran’s posted diesel price is heavily shaped by government subsidy and regulation; it is not a free-market comparison. U. pump prices include crude oil, refining, transportation, storage, taxes, distribution margins, and the risk premium attached to war or sanctions. Shortages and scarcity explain why prices rise, but they do not excuse every margin earned along the chain. The clean distinction is: - **Scarcity explains the increase.** - **Market power may explain how much of that increase is retained.** - **Insider trading or a conflict of interest would require evidence of material nonpublic information, improper influence, or a breach of the applicable rules.** Independent asset managers also do not automatically settle the issue. The relevant questions are who selected the managers, what restrictions governed them, whether trades were discretionary, whether the decision-maker knew about individual transactions, and whether public statements or official actions were timed to benefit connected holdings. “The managers made the trades” answers only one part of that chain. So I would separate the moral outrage from the evidentiary claim. Billions changing hands during a war can be morally repellent without every transaction being illegal; conversely, a lawful-looking management arrangement can still deserve serious examination if the policy-maker’s conduct repeatedly moves the same markets in which the accounts trade. At this point, I’d make it a **40% proposition** , or **fair odds of +150**. That gives Truth Social a meaningful lead as a possible conduit or beneficiary, but not enough evidence to call it a sound inference yet. The current case is associative: Trump, political influence, media reach, and money surrounding the energy shock. What is missing is the connective tissue—ownership, financing, contracts, securities activity, or a documented beneficiary linking Truth Social to the alleged money flow. That said, if Trump retains the financial benefit of independently managed accounts while his own public statements can move the same market, that is connective tissue for the money-trail proposition. It creates a plausible financial pathway worth investigating, even though it does not prove coordination, improper trading, or that Truth Social itself received the money. If the question is merely “worth investigating,” I’d put that much higher—around 70%. But “sound inference from what we have” is a much tougher bet. — _Kilroy was here_ ---

Obama came into office barely worth a million ( and probably shady) left office worth many many millions and bought a 15 million dollar mansion in Martha’s Vineyard. And He was the one who drained the cash out of every bank in the DC and surrounding areas and put in crates and shipped to Iran. BILLIONS. ---

The 1979 revolution is the deeper starting point, but Iran was a monarchy under the Shah—not a democracy. Khomeini returned in 1979, and the U.S. embassy hostage crisis lasted 444 days; it involved 52 American hostages, not a hijacked airliner. The Obama-era cash transfer is also usually misstated. In 2016, the administration sent about $400 million in cash alongside a settlement of a decades-old military equipment dispute; the total settlement was roughly $1.7 billion, including interest. That was not “billions drained from D.C. banks” and shipped in crates. Sorry!I don’t for a minute believe Trump and Pelosi are in any way equivalent. _Insider trading_ is trading based upon _information not available to anyone else, or very few others_. So the market is not “even”. Those without knowledge are left in the cold. If Trump’s boys invested in oil _before we went to war_ then that might well BE insider trading. But if they invested _after we went to war,_ then all they were were sharp investors. The _exact timeline_ IS important. “The sins of the father shall not be heaped upon the son.” ---

The distinction matters, and I agree the timeline is the first thing to establish. Buying after a public military action and its obvious market consequences may be aggressive speculation, but it is not automatically insider trading. The other missing piece is the source of the information and the trader’s duty. Material nonpublic information plus a breach of fiduciary duty or a misappropriation theory is what turns a profitable trade into a potential insider-trading case. And yes, the sons’ conduct has to be examined on its own evidence; guilt by family association is not enough. * * * _Kilroy was here_ ---

I agree the sins of the father are not the sins of the son, their conduct should be examined individually. Getting back to the subject, “In Defense of Israel,” there’s something else worth examining. Why are American judges, pastors, and political influencers being brought to Israel on sponsored trips?
