I have never gotten into subsonic ammo,so really dont know whats a good deal on that
I canât buy the components for that. Not even close.
20 bucks for shipping 4 boxes, and the governorâs 10% cut, comes to about what it costs me to handload.
Thatâs about what it costs me to build one if I figured my time inâŠ
So its a good buy ?? Thought so .
I am unclear where all these guns suddenly appear costing $4k or more. Handguns have been around for a long time. Most of the time the box-stock weapon shoots quite well enough. A lot of these âmanufacturersâ appear out of thin air with astronomical prices. Many of the old tried-and-true custom manufacturers donât charge these kind of prices.
?Who buys these and why.
Iâve spent close to 5k on one gun and would happily do it again, repeated if possible ![]()
Iâd buy a daniel defense with a really good scope or a red dot and magnifier, the ones the military buys. That would put me fairly close to 5 grand.
I have spent 1,000 and 1,500 several times.
Yes, I would consider $5K for a firearm, but not from one of these unknown manufacturers. Nighthawk has been around since Christ was a Lance Corporal, and their prices are in the $4K+ range. So up comes one of these gunmakers with no rep and no known track record and weâre suppose to jsut plunk down $5k - and what, ?hope for the best. Heck, even in todayâs market a Staccatois over priced, AND they run about half that.
Optics are expensive - really good glass is about what a seriously good rifle costs. But I. wouldnât consider getting a âno-nameâ optic for the price of, say, a Nightforce, or even a Leupold. But thatâs not what weâre talking about here. Weâre talking about some gun maker with no national, and probably not even any significant regional name - selling 1911âs for $4-5k/copy. Those kinds of prices, IMM, are only commanded by a known entity - so Chen, Cabot, Nighthawk, maybe Wilson, Ed Brown. Novak.

Itâs a good price on some decent ammo. I have shot a bunch of the 45 ACP JHP. Ammo Inc was bought out recently. That is why it is being clearance.
